Favorite Aggie tradition: Silver Taps! My first experience of people gathering around Academic Plaza was extraordinary! I had never seen so many people pay homage for those they did not know personally, but felt linked because they were Aggies. It was September 7th, 2010, and I, a Freshman, among vast others stood outside for over 30 minutes as the rain poured as soon as the event began and ceased simultaneously with the ceremony. I will never forget this. All the Silver Taps proceeding this have continued to reaffirm my decision and reason for wanting to come to TAMU- for a high standard of excellence and an exceptional experience that outweighs any hardship. "We Bleed Maroon."

Interesting fact: My name is 20 letters long, excluding my middle name!
